I'm not a Dusty fan. But the amount of *****ing and second guessing at winning 5 games in 4 days against the Yankees and then at Seattle is pretty remarkable even for Texags standards.
I believe the team wins in spite of Dusty.jg07 said:

Put me in the camp of not wanting Contreras knowing he won't get a single start in the post season. If he's just going to backup Maldy and pinch hit, I'm not a fan of giving up legitimate prospect for a few ABs in the playoffs. Spend that capital on Bell and/or an elite lefty reliever.

Remember when Hinch became a verb here, meaning to screw up.Quote:
Put me in the camp of "I miss AJ Hinch"
Sure the Astros pounded the Mariners for three games but they single-handedly stimulated the economy of Seattle this weekend and that’s what really matters. Selfless. Compassionate. Humanitarian.

Lol yes. Two straight series sweeps and armchair Texags think they can do better

Good enough to start 30 games for the Cubs for the postseason, including a WS title, but couldn't do it here? He's declined but he's not terrible back there.
MLB made its final offer on Int’l Draft Sunday, raising guaranteed bonus spending by $10M from previous proposal to $191M, per source. Deadline in CBA is Monday; MLBPA can choose between final proposal or keeping the status quo, including qualifying offer system staying in place. https://t.co/KpcYeYLx9Z

except Contreras won't be an every day player so you might get that lineup 2 games a week max. Maldy is the everyday catcher and when the playoffs come around Contreras won't start at all so you are basically giving up really good prospects for a spot pinch hitter or insurance policy for the catcher position.W said:
Contreras would really fix the batting order...with his .372 on-base %
the 7-8-9 hitters would probably be:
7. Pena
8. Yuli
9. Meyers
that's a really strong bottom 3
Sure he can do it and would be a better offensive catcher than Maldy, but its been made extremely clear that Maldy is the only catcher starting if healthyFarmer1906 said:bearkatag15 said:
