Wow, there a posters here who just expect perfection every time, Just curious if they ever played any form of baseball or sport at all.

Get off your high horse. He can't locate his pitches. If he throws strikes and gets beat, that's bearable. Walking guys isn't acceptable when you aren't throwing competitive pitches. Control has been a problem for him his whole career, and he's very inconsistent. It's not expecting perfection, it's expecting consistency and maturity, neither of which he has shown on a regular basis.


He's 25 with elite stuff. He's still cheap. He's worth continuing to try and develop.

Plus a 2.17 ERA this year ain't too shabby. His Ks are up. BBs are down.

awful. Although I am shocked he continues to play Aledmys while he's hot. Usually Dusty would put a guy like that in the cooler for a couple of days

As a major league pitcher, he has to be able to locate better than this. If he keeps pitching like that, his ERA will be much higher before long

Thanks for the lesson on how a major league pitcher needs to throw strikes to have a low ERA. That makes a lot of sense.
