I tend to agree with this assessment. As much as I want LMJ to come back and be THE guy, he has to prove it first, and we may not even need him to the way the starters are performing currently. I would LOVE a scenario where the starters continue this performance through the end of the season, and we have LMJ as that lethal 2-3 inning relief guy out of the pen. Then re-assess going into next season with him joining the starting rotation.

Of course, all of this is subject to Click's plan for mid-season acquisitions/dealings if he decides to trade one of our extra arms
Lance hasn't even proven he can be a starting pitcher for a full season. Let him prove that first before you start anointing him as the Ace.

I think it's probably smartest to ramp him up to where he can go 4+ IP in relief during the postseason.
The guy who finished 7th in the Cy "can't pitch a full season".

The, arguable, best starter in the postseason last year should just be a bullpen arm.

I am not just directing this at you. The few few pages have been filled with terrible takes on LMJ.
you're so full of yourself. If you don't agree with it it's a terrible take and that's always the way you've always been. And you're wrong half the time, just like the rest of us.

No one is saying Lance doesn't have ace stuff. Just that he's not durable.

How much good did that 7th in the CYA award stuff do us when he got shut down? 4 October relief IP of stud is better than none.

Anyone else paying attention to these extra stats? Apple TV high? Where are they getting them?

Yuli at bat, 2-1 count: reach base probability 35%
2-2 count, reach base probability 50% wtf?
3-2 count, reach base probability drops to 34%

That isn't his fault. One player can't change 162 games in baseball. He's still one of the greatest position players to ever play the game. The numbers don't lie.
