The Angels are who we thought they were.

Didn't they say on the broadcast that he had 6 consecutive shutout appearances prior to today? I get he isn't necessarily dominant, but he's still been good.

Yankees have played 24 games on the road. We already have 21 wins on the road. And we have more wins on the road than games played at home. Wow.

As bad as things are for the angels, it's about to get a lot worse

Vic Carapazza Had to be betting on the game.

Man has no business in the MLB. Just horrible.

Nice that they helps us out with a 9.5 game lead before our own little tough stretch of games!

How much of this teams current success is because they are really good and how much is because the competition isn't very good?

Last year we sucked against bad teams so I'm hoping we continue to beat up on them

Quote:

"I'll give it to you short and sweet: He missed twice throwing at Michael Taylor," crew chief Jerry Meals said. "After the second one, we got together because that's the way MLB wants us to handle it and we decided to issue warnings. After the warnings were issued, Pressly argued the warnings, and he was ejected."

And that's Bs. We were warned before they met. Now to be honest, the fact we could even get "payback" prior to the warning was a bit of a gift IMO.

MLB will now allow the Astros to start playing home games again.

I think this is rock bottom for the season with regard to the road vs. home spread.

currently 34 road games...20 home games...+14 differential

Both. Currently there are 5 teams in the AL above .500 and one more right at .500. The AL central and West look like crap. So does the NL East.

Took a quick look. Astros have played 34 road games. The most in the majors. Next closest is 32, Milwaukee and Seattle.

7 teams above .500 in the NL. So 13 good teams and 17 meh teams. The AL East and NL West look to be the only real competitive divisions.

By my count, the Astros are 7-6 against teams at or over 0.500 (blue Jays, red Sox, and twins)

9 games straight with Yankees and Mets at the end of this month. 6 in New York. Should be interesting. Overall the schedule seems pretty favorable the rest of the way.

So roughly 87-75 record over 162 vs teams over .500? I'd take that all day because usually you are beating up on the bad teams along the way

Absolutely is BS, but they kept saying "should've warned after they hit us", and while I get that, at least we got to back him up a couple times before warnings.

I'll be curious what Presssly said (if Jomboy can tell). He didn't get tossed for the pitch, he got tossed for what he said.

There's a world where the ejection was warranted…. and there's a world where it was absolutely ridiculous. Not sure what my opinion is until we see that part.

have to say...it's really odd to see a team "retaliate" with 2 outs in the 9th...when they have the lead.

especially when the team will play the same opponent in several weeks -- that's when payback tends to happen
