Didn't even look close in real time…no idea how the ump calls him out.

Aside from that, ump forced Yuli to swing with that bad 1st strike call which was outside.

that was a rare situation...in which Yordan should or could have run through the base.

it would have guaranteed that the run scores.

and Yordan is tagged out on the other side of the bag to end the inning --- instead of being a force out

It's weird to think back a few years ago when our lineup production was so righty heavy. Springer, Bregman, Altuve, Correa, Yuli was our top 5. Never would have thought our lineup would be so lefty productive just a few years later.

I'd love to see what Witt Jr could do in an org like ours with lineup protection and access to our nerds. Seems like he's ooozing with talent but probly won't develop fully in this trash org.

The 0-fers with RISP happen way too often and need to stop…that, to me, is all about approach.

Absolutely, 1 bad mistake to Perez (throwing a 2-strike meatball up in the zone) shouldn't be the decision…but these guys have looked hapless up there this afternoon. Absolutely shut down by a train of bad pitchers.

It sucks. It's sucked all year. Occasionally it explodes. It then goes back to sucking with 100% consistency. Think I posted half-jokingly after the 10 runs yesterday that they were sure to get shut out today. And here we are.

This team will get knocked out of the playoffs and it will happen at whatever point the pitching fails. Period.

Offense is just not good. Hitting coaches need to go. I do wonder if Correa was or best (albeit unofficial) hitting coach.

On the plus side, the Angels are losing 5-0 after 1 inning
