last night...Yuli, Machete, and the third baseman made major contributions to the offense.EastCoastAgNc said:
I'm afraid last night was an anomaly

I know any given day baseball can be frustrating but the offense is 4th in all of MLB in wRC+ so I'm not sure "sucks" is accurate.
that would also be 90% of every team's losses.Beau Holder said:Eeyore Smooth said:

I'd be curious to know how much of that was racked up in the couple 13-run games and the 10-run one, not the many where they've scored 0, 0, 1, 1, 2, and 0, which is 90+% of their losses.

The ball always finds you. Korey Lee’s first time in the outfield since 2019. Makes a routine play in LF. #Astros pic.twitter.com/CdzLk7aES5

Just got back from a wedding and saw the score.
Should have known we would not score after the offensive outburst last night
Dusty Baker lamented the close replay review that didn’t go the Astros’ way in the third inning of their fifth shutout of the season.

“Who knows how many we could have gotten out of that inning,” Baker said.
After 53 games, the answer seems obvious- https://t.co/5flgCclk0G

Edmundo Sosa would have scored to give the Cardinals the lead in the 9th, but he missed third base!!! pic.twitter.com/HnUinYMMZW
Do you understand that MLB is trying to create a home run record chase this summer, yet… or no? Ball is going to be flying, I’d bet the over!

Judge is leading with 21. That puts him on pace for about 63-64.bearkatag15 said:Do you understand that MLB is trying to create a home run record chase this summer, yet… or no? Ball is going to be flying, I’d bet the over!

Because the Dodgers were within 6 runs, Dave Roberts was forced to bring in Evan Phillips from the bullpen.

Don't get this
C is the one position we have 0 organizational depth at and Lee is clearly the future of the position.
Why bother with LF?

Never heard of a rule about 6 runs. What is this garbage?
This is the first time a manager did it but didn't know the rule. The tweet says it's embarrassing for MLB. It's not. It's embarrassing for Dave Roberts for not knowing the basic rules that have been in place for several years.EastCoastAgNc said:MaxPower said:

They added it a few years ago. This is the first time I can remember someone getting busted for it
What has been said above about a quicker path as well as career longevity and ways to play more than 120 games a year.Ag_07 said:bearkatag15 said:The ball always finds you. Korey Lee’s first time in the outfield since 2019. Makes a routine play in LF. #Astros pic.twitter.com/CdzLk7aES5

Wonder if somebody from the FO finally got in Dusty's face to explain what Yuli's LOB numbers mean.
redline248 said:
Yuli isn't that much better than Siri, right now.
Yuli - .224/.265.362
Siri - .210/.278/.343
Also, in regards to both, just looking around the league, at least they aren't as bad as someone like Adam Duvall, who has even worse numbers than both, and is doing it in more ABs. .192/.255/.286 with 63 Ks.
edit: the main issue with Yuli is where Dusty keeps putting him in the lineup. Maybe today is the start of him fixing that.
2nd edit: then I remember that today Dusty has Dubon batting 2nd...I mean..wtf
