I should clarify that this was meant as more of a shot as clicks rampant bs'ing and not a suggestion he should ship away Jake.


But adding Jake and McCullers midseason is going to be a big boost.

We're pretty set in all positions except CF. We have options. And it's not like there will be someone better at the deadline. Big hitting CFers are kind of rare.

The other options would be SS (Pena looks the part) and Catcher (they all kind of suck).
Getting a good lefty or 2 for the bullpen would be my priority at the deadline.

100% agree. Wished we would have signed one in the offseason. Taylor ain't it.

I thin these humidor balls are going to really effect Bregman. Seems like in his 40 HR year most weren't exactly blasted. I'm tempering my HR expectations for him and thinking 20 HR from Bregman would be a good year.

Not really sure. Hopefully Click or someone on his team is monitoring lefty relievers on bad teams. Justin Wilson on the Reds looked like a possibility but he had some pretty severe reverse splits so that kinda negates the point of adding him as a lefty specialist.

Going back to this question... I'd talk to the Diamondbacks about any pitchers they have that we could trade for. Strom teaching them for most of the season probably will result in some of them looking really good stats wise. They have 3 lefties on their roster so just maybe...
