With McCullers being placed on the 60-day IL, we will not be able to see him pitch in Houston until June 18th. If rehab goes well, we could see him in Sugar Land before that date.

I bet his return gets pushed until after the All Star game
Also I think Schwab is wrong on the earliest return date. His 60 day clock would retro back to the start of the season so he could return in early June instead of June 18th

Why would it need to be pushed that late?
He's throwing now. If everything reacts fine, then he's throwing bullpens in a few weeks. Then a modified spring trying to build up with some rehab starts. Call it 6-7 weeks. Why not early June? Mid June if the June 18th date is accurate. That leaves ~90 games (doing in my head) 15-18 starts. Seems reasonable to get some value out for the season and have him ready for the postseason without wearing him down.
