Astros made a generous offer. He turned it down. Nobody else paid him either so nobody thinks he's worth what he thinks he is. Imagine if the Astros signed him to a huge deal and he got off to the same crappy start here that he's having in Minnesota. If Peña keeps playing like he is Correa will be a distant memory. You don't give someone whatever they want because of leadership qualities. This line of thinking is why we have a catcher who is seeing if he can go 0 for the month of April.Burn-It said:

As far as leadership goes, once Altuve gets going things will look a lot better
All it takes is one guy at the top of the lineup to get hot and we will be right on track. Looking for Altuve or Tucker to go off tonight

His .current .185 average probably wouldn't help to any additional wins thus far.
Yuli and Yordan being out for multiple games are causing similar issues as last years Covid stretch.

I just want to highlight a current positive. Jose Siri and Chas McCormick are making the most of their playing time. Both sitting over .400, and OPS of 1.214 and .947, respectively.

Yeah it's not at all what I expected.
And FWIW I thought he looked worse in LF.
It'll be interesting to see the Meyers/Chas/Siri storyline unfold later this season as the trade deadline approaches as I think one or possibly two of them could be traded.

Click will have a hard decision. Next year you need 2 staring OFers (assuming they don't offer Brantley again). You have 3 guys. Do you keep 2 or keep all 3 and see what happens? And what do you do with Leon?
Speaking of rehab, did we hear anything over the past 24 hours on McCullers? This is the last update I saw...
