And 13.7-21.5 degree LAs are still line drives, not popouts.
Interesting to see Altuve with one of the highest swing angles.Farmer1906 said:

New stats.
For all those dumb coaches and dads who said to "swing flat".
Everybody gets a turn in LF!Farmer1906 said:
Siri is playing over Chas again....
2 thoughts: first, how much has Meyers played LF? Maybe Siri is more versatile there? Also, I recall the broadcast saying the LF in Anaheim is pretty big, so Siri's speed may be better suited for itMathguy64 said:
I don't have a much an issue playing Siri for a day but I would put him in CF and put Jake in LF. If you are going to play Siri okay him where he's in the part of the field where he would make the most benefit.
Jake Odorizzi will pitch tomorrow, Dusty Baker said. Odorizzi already flew ahead back to Houston to avoid the late night flight. Justin Verlander is scheduled to go on Saturday.

When's Uncle Mike back?
That's true, and if we can get Bell without giving up studs then by all means do it, but I don't think 1b is our position of greatest need. I also don't suspect anyone is going to get brought in to supplant a "core" guy at the deadline. That's just not the organizational MO. I have been making fun of all the MLB2K type commentary lately...it's not easy to bring in a guy from outside and say, "hey Yuli you've been the heart of the team for this entire run, but father time is catching up with you, so sit your ass down". I wouldn't be shocked if they brought in another 1b or 1b/OF type, but I would be shocked if it was a guy like Bell that would become the obvious full-time starter at 1b and relegate Yuli to PH and 1b or DH once every 3 days.Farmer1906 said:
I posted yesterday the case for Yuli so I am not completely writing him off. However, there is a pretty big difference in price and availability of a star rental SS and 1B. Even 2021 Yuli is a significant downgrade from what Bell is doing this year.
How would upgrading at UTL help more? In the playoffs, you don't want a UTL player getting important ABs. Diaz got 7 plate appearances all of 2021. Great utility guys don't exist in the role Diaz has because they end up starting and being versatile (Taylor, Bryant, etc).
If we're being logical, Shohei Ohtani is already starting the game at DH. If he is going to pitch in the game, it is probably best served to do it in a manner consistent with his normal routine on days he plays both ways. Starting him at pitcher seems like the safest move

Michael Brantley returned to Houston to get his shoulder examined, Dusty Baker said. He tried to swing earlier this week and "it didn't feel right," Baker said. Asked if it was a setback, Baker replied "not a setback, it’s just not a go forward" - https://t.co/zMI75XDYfr

I have a buddy who just moved to Cleveland so I just booked a trip for the first weekend of August when the Astros are in town. Anyone been there before?

Well this probably changes some things at the trade deadline

I was just up in NW Ohio for some family stuff and caught the Yanks when they got 1 hit there. It's a nice stadium but nothing spectacular. Our was a Sunday afternoon game and for some reason they only open the gates 1 hour before 1st pitch on Sunday. So by the time we got in we pretty much had to get food and go to our seats. There was still a block long line to get in at first pitch, it was crazy.Marvin said:texasaggie2015 said:

Progressive Field, right? Loved the town. Cleveland gets a bad rap, but Mrs. Marvin and I enjoyed the heck out of it. I'll try to dig up some of our itinerary. I know the HOF was part of it.
