Gotta trade Siri and Odo for a strong bat to fill in right now then.
The Astros placed OF Yordan Alvarez (right hand inflammation) on the 10-day IL, to take his place on the roster OF Jose Siri was recalled from Triple A Sugar Land. https://t.co/MvFSlsQbbW

The Baltimore Orioles just finished a four-game sweep of the Angels and have won eight straight.

They are one game under .500.
They are 2.5 games back of Toronto, 3.5 behind Tampa Bay and trail Boston by 4.
And they are doing it with a payroll lower than Max Scherzer's salary.

A lot to digest here. Baltimore being in the playoff hunt has to be the most impressive part
While I think Yordan is having the best season in the AL, I think we all know that he would have to outpace Judge in average, homers, and RBi by a definable margin, and have the Astros finish ahead of the Yankees record-wise to even have a chance to win it, especially for all the media who now think Judge was robbed not winning it vs. Altuve in 2017.Mathguy64 said:
Damn. I feel sorry for Yordan. Any lengthy stay on the IL will doom his MVP chances. Let's just hope it really isn't a hamate issue. I just don't trust the team on IL issues.

Aren't they still paying Chris Davis?
