I don't believe stat cast on the yordonger. That thing was an elevated rope. I know it barely cleared the wall of the scoreboard but it wasn't exactly coming down.

Exactly. Statcast has been broken on these for a while. It doesn't account for spin. At that angle I bet it gets out of Wrigley's weird little cut in in the alley as well as a few of the standard fields that just have typical dimensions (or at least very, very close).
