106 - with no Correa, Springer or Cole. That's pretty strong.
Pretty amazing to think about. The pitching was just that good all year.

One last regular season AOFA.
Well played sir. Well played.
All we need now is Prosper and 162 will be complete.
Not that 99 wins isn't a great season but considering the all first half season hype based upon their hot start, the fact the Damn Yankees failed to win a 100 games makes me smile.Harry Stone said:

K that was fun. I'll post some final stats /rankings tomorrow.
But now the real season begins. Once Lance came back and looked right (~3 starts in), I was over this season. We're ready. This team is built to win it all. All that is left is to do it.
11 wins away.
I am still amaze w/ the 106 wins. If you asked me back in early June, would have been happy w/ at least 90 wins. Great & weird season. Wish our bats were more consistent but I truly believe that it all came together at the right time. Can't wait to see the playoffs.Deluxe said:Farmer1906 said:

Handshakes and high fives to everyone on a fantastic regular season. Hell of a team. 106 wins!

Possible this has already been discussed but I hate the new playoff schedule because I don't think it builds in enough advantage for the teams that earn byes.MosesHallRAB04 said:
I don't get the playoff schedule this year. Off day between ALDS games 1 and 2 makes no sense. All it does is give rest to the wild card winner.

Bye teams have to basically take a week off and wild card teams get the benefit of continuous flow to their seasons. To me, that advantage should be offset by the wild card winner playing with more "fatigue" going forward.
If it was up to me, no travel day between wild card round and division round and definitely no off day between division series G1 and G2.

I get that not risk losing in the wild card round is an advantage that you earn with a bye.Proudag06 said:Deluxe said:Possible this has already been discussed but I hate the new playoff schedule because I don't think it builds in enough advantage for the teams that earn byes.MosesHallRAB04 said:

I don't like the weird day off between game 1 and 2 but the advantage is not having to play the wildcard round. That's' it. You play for the bye and get it. Baseball is not trying to give the teams that earn a bye more advantage than the bye which they earned.
Fair enough. I'd still obviously still rather have a bye than not have a bye.Ag_07 said:
I can see how from a momentum aspect you rather not have to sit for a week but it's a huge advantage not having to play a 2/3 series prior to a 5 game series regardless of rest days during the ALDS.
I'll take the rest and being able to have everyone available starting the ALDS over the advantage of having momentum.
