Took my 4 year old son on Father's Day last summer and it was a top 3 memory I've made with him so far. Literally had tears in my eyes as we walked into the stadium and his face lit up from the crowd noise.

Set your expectations low. Started the game in our seats then as he started getting bored, walked around the entire ballpark and stopped in the gift shop. I would spring for the club seats as it gets pretty crowded in the mezzanine area. Hard to predict but try and go to a high scoring game as home runs and scoring is more fun to a 4 year old than a no hitter.

Buy club level tickets

It's more expensive but if we take the kids this is the way to go. It's not as hectic and crowded and it's easier to get up and walk around the mezzanine with them if they get bored. You can watch through the glass as the walk around without having to hold their hand and watch them like a hawk.

Plus the ease of everything up there makes it WAY better. There's tables to sit down and eat if they wanna get up and I've cream bar and stuff.

Just makes for a better and enjoyable experience for everyone.

Also ask an attendant and they'll get you a cool little certificate for their first Astros game.

Love the club level no Matter what. But especially with my kids

Great idea on club level. Took them to the rodeo last week and they were in awe of sitting close up. Had only been to Reliant for Disney on Ice before.

Day game. Unless yours have a midnight bedtime.

If they are old enough to be into following players, go early enough for batting practice and try to get some autographs. Check if the Kids zone area near section 133 is open (not sure if they ever opened it up after Covid).

Friday night games with fireworks are a blast for kids.

FYI for the streamers, if you have Amazon Prime, the game is on there free.

I don't know if it will be this way during the season.

We'll see.
