For his stats, this seems like a really cheap deal. The Braves got a steal.Marvin said:
Maybe it's just me, but I don't see McHugh as some missing piece. We need that $5 million to pay for Correa, anyway!
Blue Jays currently view their chances on Schwarber as better than their chances on Freeman, sources tell @TheAthletic. The competition for Schwarber, though, remains intense, with Phillies and others in the mix.

I assume Boras is still trying to pit teams against each other to drive up the price. I have zero faith that he will allow Carlos to settle for a short deal with the Astros- he'd rather him hold out, I bet.
I have no basis for this other than the greed of Scott Boras.

The mystery player has great defensive stats.
So it can't be Tucker. That guys lolligags everywhere.
The Mets had a team vaccination rate last season at one point of 77 percent, but that included coaches and staff. The number among players, I was told, was about 55 percent vaccinated.

You think doing the same thing that has led him to miss 2 out of our 3 World Series, a full season, and whatever he misses this year is the best path forward?

Absolutely. He's 43rd in WAR since his rookie year. That includes missing a year, the other injuries, and the partial
season call up. Plus he's clutch as hell the postseason. 2.83 ERA in 16 games.
