McHugh was drafted by ATL and he resides there.

Probably team friendly deal so he can finish out his career at home

I assume Boras is still trying to pit teams against each other to drive up the price. I have zero faith that he will allow Carlos to settle for a short deal with the Astros- he'd rather him hold out, I bet.

I have no basis for this other than the greed of Scott Boras.

There was a post the other day that said correa's former agent gets the commission on this deal and boras on the next, so a short term deal would be good for boras

Old agent gets money up to the point Carlos was offered previously. If he signs 8-10 years Boras gets money on the longer contract.

Realistically, how long do you guys think it'll be before Correa makes a decision one way or the other? I would assume he wants to get into camp wherever he's going to go and get some games in.

Absolutely. He's 43rd in WAR since his rookie year. That includes missing a year, the other injuries, and the partial
season call up. Plus he's clutch as hell the postseason. 2.83 ERA in 16 games.

Clutch when he pitches in the postseason, sure. He just needs to do it more. He obviously can't take the strain of being a starter for a full season.
