I have some old school minor league gear: Western Michigan Whitecaps, Clinton Lumber Kings, Hickory Crawdads, and Carolina (back then Columbus) Mudcats caps and an Albany Polecats shirt.

I figured that mascot was an actual "aqua sock". You know - the things you can wear in the water….
I know a lot about a little, and a little about a lot.

Baseball just can't get out of its own way. Looking at 2 shortened seasons in a span of 3 years. It's so stupid. Especially after having one of its best seasons in a while last year.

In my opinion, it's imperative that the sport gets things resolved and people are talking about baseball heading into March. If that means 10 games are missed, I think it's fine because people will still be invested throughout spring and people will get over the disruption in a couple of weeks. If things aren't resolved by mid-March, I think a lot of people check out

Ummm… what? How about they figure it the **** out so we get all the games with proper training before hand so there isn't a bunch of injuries.

Based on the way things are going I'm assuming there are going to be games lost, it's just a question of how many.

So, do we want to read between the lines on what little Correa moving to catcher means? Is it just a move for depth purposes? Or he's subpar at other positions and C is where someone can be a lesser hitter? Or does it say anything about Korey Lee?

I don't it's the last item. What level of minors is Correa?

Agreed, but that's the risk the owners took on by locking out the players IMO.

I think the move is to give him options. Apparently, he hit over .300 in High A last year. He's supposed to play at AA this year.

He's still a few years away from the bigs. The organization is likely looking at other prospects for the major league club. He may be an insurance policy for Lee in a few years, or being developed as a trade chip.

I would this is the best our farm system has looked at catcher in a while.

AAA: Lee - last first-round pick before the punishment. Looks like a legit prospect. Maybe not a star, but an above avg hitting and defensive catcher is very valuable.
AA: Berryhill - absolutely mashed last year. Went from low A to high A to AA in a very short period.
A: Diaz - the prospect from the Straw trade. He tore up low & high A.

Add in Correa and we have 4 legit prospects at the position with some upside.

I'm skeptical that this is true. Players aren't even allowed on the premises.

I would think there are numerous places they can meet away from Minute Maid Park

strangely enough...the Astros only have 12 home games in the month of April.

I guess that's not too bad if the first month is lost.

would wipe out a 9-game roadtrip to the west coast...and the entire season series vs. the Blue Jays.

and 7 games vs. the Angels
