No Kershaw (though in postseason maybe that's a benefit), have to burn Scherzer tomorrow. I don't think they get past the Giants if they win the WC

Win 106 games and have to go to a one game playoff is brutal. Cards playing with house money and they are red hot. Nothing to lose.

did not realize Kershaw was having elbow issues again, thats a pretty big blow to that Ace squad of pitchers, that makes them a little more normal team, SF may have the edge now. Who knows, St Louis could knock them out tonight, that would be a huge knockout for a team that won all those games in regular season

Many people are saying it is a gimme game for the Dodgers but Scherzer's last two outings were a bit rough,
10.1 IP, 17H, 10 ER, 1 BB, and 10K. It will be interesting to see if the Cardinals can tap into that streak magic again.

As a Dodgers fan, I've been playing the "coulda, woulda, shoulda" scenarios but it's meaningless. If the Dodgers win it, great, but if they lose to a strong Cardinals team that plays well for one game, I'll have to tip my cap to them. Either way, it's great that October baseball is back and hopefully we get a lot of good games/series.

I know it is tough for a Dodger fan to do this, but you the Giants also deserve a tip of the cap. They were the ones that put the LA in the wildcard game despite the 106 W season.
