We're like the 90s Braves. Tons of talent that gets us a long way but are only able to close the deal once. To make it worse majority of the people see that championship as tainted.

Bregman was bad in the WS in 2019 also. Tampa's pitching staff put the brakes on our offense in the ALCS. We managed to pull it out, with help from Glasnow tipping pitches, but Bregman hasn't been the same hitter since that series.Aggie8587 said:
Take his horrible 2021 postseason out of the discussion. Here's Bregman's OPS by year:
2016: .791 (rookie season)
2017: .827
2018: .926 (all star)
2019: 1.015 (2nd in AL MVP voting)
2020: .801
2021: .777
I think so as well. I'm thinking he may need to reevaluate his offseason program.Mathguy64 said:
I think his legs are messed up and he's got no base to hit off of. But I'm just guessing.

3 in a row isn't a big deal at all.
it's kind of something nobody wants to talk about...kb2001 said:Bregman was bad in the WS in 2019 also. Tampa's pitching staff put the brakes on our offense in the ALCS. I keep waiting for him to break out of it, but he's just not the same hitter. He has no confidence at all, he gives away strike one every AB now because he almost never swings at the first pitch, and teams have noticed.

Well I'll go ahead and say it. Congrats to the Atlanta Braves on their 2021 World Series win! There is NO WAY the Astros can come back now. I mean, the Braves definitely have this locked up!
It's really not in baseball, but we have to find our bats in a HURRY and we haven't come close to doing so yet this series (excluding game 2).agdaddy04 said:

Scoring 4 runs in the 3 losses. Benching Bregman or moving him down the order is not going to fix our offensive woes. It's not just him that's shtting the bed.

I think if we can get back to Houston, we win the series. It's going to be really tough, and the offense is going to have to be patient and hit with runners on. However, I'm super confident in Urquidy at home and think Garcia will be clutch in game 7.tjack16 said:
All I ask is get the series back to Houston.
Hey, the team quit first.07ag said:its not, stop being a quitterrgt99 said:
That's the series right there
I mean, the pitch was wright down the freaking pipe. Are you saying you don't want one of our better hitters swinging at a pitch that is right down broadway so another one of our hitters can't be IBB'd?Johnsy3 said:
I really wish Tucker would've have swung 3-0 in the 3rd. Great chance he walks and then we have bases loaded with Yuli up and they can't IBB him
Such a lazy take.Goose83 said:Hey, the team quit first.07ag said:its not, stop being a quitterrgt99 said:
