Gurriel and Correa need to swap places in the batting order. I trust Yuli more behind Alvarez than I do Correa. Carlos seems intent on just jacking the ball instead of just shortening his swing. Strikes out too much.

They need to be more patient. A walk is just as good as a single.

I thought it was just the opposite. He had almost no command. He was either up and above the zone or in the dirt and we couldn't get a read on where it was going. I wonder how much a lack of BP mattered. Not being able to take live swings against the batting eye I thought was big.

There is some obvious discrepancies between the on screen K zone and whatever that Ump scorecard uses

The k zone is just the networks visual, not 100% precise.

Follow gamefeed on baseball savant or whatever the game track is on MLB.

Anyone know of an Astros bar in North Fort Worth Area. Obviously most places will have the game on just don't want to be around dirtbag losers talking about cheating

I think what that scorecard does is establishes the individual zone of that ump and then grades against his own set zone. He may give a pitch outside the zone but is he consistent with it.

It does both. Accuracy vs consistency

According to the article that came out last week, the ump scorecard program pulls pitch data from all kinds of sources. My understanding is it will pull from ESPN's pitch tracker, mlb's, fox's....whoever uses one of those graphical zones. I've looked at a few of those during games myself, and sometimes they are different. MLB will have a ball fully outside the zone, and ESPN will have the same pitch on the line. I guess ump scorecard creates an aggregate of sorts.

If the same team shows up for games 4-5 as they did in Boston, we will be just fine

My worry is the Star guys are starting to slump at the same time. Yordan is 1-8 so far, Correa 1-10, Bregman 1-9, and Altuve is 2-13

That trend needs to change. Which I think it will.

Right now in the WS, Maldonado has a higher batting average or is tied with Yordan, Correa and Bregman

Probably need to score at least 6 tonight with it being a bullpen game.

Really need to take the next two games or else I think we are in big trouble.

It's less than 5 and a half hours until 1st pitch and the Braves still haven't named their starter ( I know it's a bullpen game for them). Seems like they should be required to name someone by now

Probably but if I'm the Braves I don't put much credence in guys with bad track records against the good Greinke from 2+ years ago. Anyone should be able to hit this version. Just hope he isn't walking guys and their bullets are right at an Astro.
