So here is some sobering news - If MLB rotates the umpires in the same pattern as the league series, guess who will be handling home plate for a potential game 7?
Below are the assignments for game one. In the LCS each umpire moved one click up to the assignment above them on the list after each game.
HP Chris Conroy 2 WC, 2 DS, 2 LCS
1B Tom Hallion (CC) 10 DS, 5 LCS, 1 WS
2B Dan Bellino 1 WC, 7 DS, 1 LCS
3B Ted Barrett 5 WC, 12 DS, 9 LCS, 4 WS
LF Mike Muchlinski 1 WC, 3 DS, 1 LCS
RF Alfonso Marquez 2 WC, 11 DS, 5 LCS, 3 WS
Reserve Ron Kulpa 1 WC, 12 DS, 3 LCS, 1 WS
Therefore, it appears for Game 7, Ron Kulpa is your home plate umpire. What an absolute joke MLB.

Horrible take by that deadspin article. Who were the 100-win teams that didn't make the playoffs? Giants, Dodgers and TB all made it in. Sorry if you've got to win from there.
Heck I don't even think there's a team with a better record that got bumped from the playoffs this year by a division winner.
Dusty Baker refused to share an update on Jake Meyers’ status for the World Series. He said Kyle Tucker is an option to play center field at Truist Park.

I went to the Academy @ 59 / Shepherd in Houston on Saturday morning and they were fully stocked with everything. It was going quickly, but they were restocking the entire time I was there. Same thing at Dicks by the Galleria. I imagine it shows sold out online, but there is availability in store.tjack16 said:
Anybody have any luck on getting merchandise yet? All the shipping says it won't be here until middle or late November

Looked this up and I find it fascinating: the Braves’ Charlie Morton will be the first pitcher ever to get the last out of the WS for one team (Astros) and then face that same team in a future WS.

Michael Brantley asked about the abuse the #Astros take from fans on the road and does that just go with the territory: “Sure does. We get it everywhere we go…There’s nothing that a crowd’s gonna do that’s gonna get us off our game.” pic.twitter.com/RnJQyywA1b

Didn't buy for those games, but in trying to buy for 1 and 2 I noticed it was significantly more expensive for the games in Atlanta. Not sure if it's because those games are on the weekend or if it's because the world series has been in Houston 4 of the last 16 years so many people have already "been there done that". Guessing it is probably some combo of the 2agdaddy04 said:
Went to game 3 in '17, moved away from Texas in '19 so didn't go to a WS game that year. Really wanting to make the trip, maybe even to Atlanta this year.
Anyone buy tix to game 3 or 4 yet?
