Just like Stanek's last batter in the 8th. 0-2 count, gets squeezed and a ball called a strike. 2-2 throws another strike called a ball. Guess, what, he still nutted up and got him out.

I was there so not watching the broadcast, but I'd be surprised if they even showed a replay. Compare that to the Red Sox when Castro was up and they were already setting up excuses. Then it was all anyone talked about.

Now that the raw emotions have gone, I want to say how PROUD I am to be an Astros fan. Last night when we got the final out I had to celebrate quietly because I was watching the game on my phone and my beautiful wife was sleeping.

I will say that in celebrating as quietly as I could, I almost teared up because I was thinking of ALL the stuff this organization has been through. With EVERYTHING being said, and I hear it all the time from my buddies "Well, ya'll are just cheating again." THIS team has proved they are beyond that scandal, and the Astros really are that talented. Whomever comes out of the NLCS better bring their A game because these Astros are hungry!

#6 happened, but the score was not 1-1...it was 3-3.

I think saying "we have no idea" is incorrect. There are numerous pieces of evidence out of the Astros camp that this is what happened . Maybe that's not the whole story but it's at a minimum part of the story.

I said this earlier in the playoff series. Basically Dusty seems to be experimenting with situations to get a diversified data set on his players. And of course regularly rests players and changes the lineup pretty radically.

It leads to sub-optimal regular season wins, but leads to more data going into the playoffs where he takes a much steadier hand.

Probably time for us to stop overreacting to every single thing he does in the regular season as long as we command a fairly good lead, and I realize every game CAN matter, so it does carry a certain level of risk.

And somehow this isn't common knowledge outside of Houston.

"You get the idea. While MLB and fans of teams other than the Astros would probably like to believe that Houston was the lone (or lone-ish) bad actor, that's a bit too tidy for reality. Bassitt's disclosures lend more evidence to the idea that it was more of a league-wide issue than a Houston issue."

Things worked out but I would have rather seen Dusty let Maton continue in the 7th.
Graveman has had questionable control some outings. Would rather have 1 of Graveman/stanek/moton in reserve instead of such a rigid 6/7/8 role.
