Yep. He did something in the NLDS when he pitched the 9th in Game 5. He was all amped up and probably not really ready. That's what happens when managers to dumb things in the playoffs. It bit Cora last night. Not only did Eovaldi give it up late in game 4 but those extra pitches caught up in the 5th last night.

A few thoughts this morning

I think we may see Marwin added to roster if Meyers can't go. He can play LF and his ability to play IF in a national league park may come in handy.

Maton is now a cold blooded assassin.

Dusty has completely flipped the script. He's managed flawlessly. If he manages like this is give him as many more years as he likes.

Facing the Dodgers wouldn't be as bad as everyone thinks. They're beat up and if it is the Dodgers that means they played 7 games. They're stretched so thin already that it would certainly carry over. Not enough time to recoup.

Globe Life Field has hosted 16 postseason games already. Rangers haven't won any of them.

Really good mix of highlights with mostly the good guys radio calls.

And regarding dusty. He's been absolutely perfect. It's almost like he knows we don't have to win every single regular season game so he likes putting his players in different situations to give them experience and see what they can do so he knows what buttons to push when it really matters…….

Great read about adjustments the Astros made to turn things around in this series. The article also really explains how important Maldonado is….a lot of people rag on him due to lack of offense, but that's not why he's out there. He's an incredible defensive player and has one of the highest baseball IQ's in the sport.

what Dusty talked about in that interview is what I read in Gammons article on The Athletic yesterday. Pitchers today don't get left in to figure out how to get out of jams or learn to actually pitch when not at their best.

They won't do 9pm starts for the World Series anyways right? All the NLCS games out west have been 7pm
