I'm concerned about SP moving forward, we need to get 5 solid out of urquidy tomorrow and feel good about at least him and Framber.

Have we heard anything about Luis?

Ideally Urquidy goes 5+ strong and the bullpen keeps it up. Then in game 4 Greinke has one of those ace starts we know he's capable of

They said right knee discomfort during the broadcast, but I've looked for an update since then.

Maybe we'll see Solomon Called up tomorrow but that would mean he wouldn't be available for WS if they get there

Dusty said postgame that it was a knee strain (in his push-off leg) and that he'd been hiding it from the team and pitching with it for a while. It just got to the point where he couldn't deal with it anymore. I can't see how they keep him on the roster knowing that and given the need for reinforcements going forward.

That really messed up our team now because Greinke could have had time to stretch out in place of Garcia

When you're in the running for a ROY and your team is counting on you after LMJ goes down the last you want to do is go down to injury you think you can play through.

Not right and awful for the team but I can easily see how a young player trying to earn respect would hide it.

Could have made progressively longer starts in the place of Garcia completely, who has only made poor contributions in the playoffs

He may have not been starter ready but could certainly go more than the 1 or 2 innings we will now get from him

Whatever happens the remainder of this season one thing abundantly clear...We need a stud innings eater who we can depend on. Lance is an ace no doubt but he's not that JV type who can go out and give you 7+ start to start. That's what we need.

Framber and Luis just can't be depended on for any length.

That way we clinch at home. I like it.

We just need to settle down and not let walks kill us.

Ironically, depending on the situation, I'd be much more forgiving of a bases loaded walk assuming we didn't give into one of their best hitters.

The problem is when you start walking people with no runners on, then they get a hit and suddenly it's first and third with no outs.

Sure, it's possible that walk could have been a home run, but it's very unlikely. Any given at bat you have a > .700 chance of getting an out.

I really wish our pitching staff would recognize that and make them legitimately earn their base runners.

Thankfully our bullpen has settled down a bit in that regard. Would not have thought it'd be such a problem
