Yeah, I'm going to ignore the God comment… well, and while I'm at it I'll ignore the rest of everything you said as well. Say your mind but don't act like you know better than the rest of us. I'd agree it's more likely than not that Carlos signs elsewhere, but that's just a guess at this point.

Updated career post-season stats for Jose Altuve:

68 games
274 AB
60 runs scored
84 hits
14 doubles
0 triples
20 home runs
46 RBI
34 walks
.307 average
.577 slugging
.392 on-base percentage

Put that over 162 games and you're talking 143 runs scored, 200 hits, 33 doubles, 48 HR, 110 RBI.

Correa's #s are not quite as gaudy, but he is 73-258 (.282) with 18 HR and 55 RBi, which would translate to 43 homers and 131 RBI. and with last night's 3 for 4 with a dong, his post-season slugging percentage is up to .547.

So obviously shout out to Dusty. Dude played it right.

But also the home plate umpire. I thought he called a great game. The outside was there but it was there for both sides and this zone wasn't egregiously wide.

One of the better called games recently.

Doubtful. Runners are just typically too important in playoff baseball. As our arms. Can't afford to have someone thrown out. Besides, seems every player pimps every hr these days

He won't.

It's just the way the game is played nowadays. As long as your doing it with your dugout and your boys and not yapping at the pitcher or their dugout it's fine.

Plus it's the ALCS. No one putting Carlos on for free to pitch to Tucker in the LCS.

I thought so, too. He called a handful of balls off the plate strikes on both teams, and Uncle Mike & Yordon had a few high strikes called, but otherwise was very consistent compared to the **** MLB has been rolling out there.

Agreed. He was pretty consistent and I generally like when umps briefly say why they're calling a close pitch a ball… like "wide" or "up", etc. It's maybe the first playoff game this year that the home plate ump didn't make me cringe.

He wasn't theatrical either. Theatrical umps are the absolute worst.

I agree. Pitchers get their panties in a wad about someone pimping a HR but will gladly pound their chest and pump their fist on strikeouts and such. Your doing it too, its just sexier after homeruns because of the crack of the bat

I would think that should serve as encouragement to do better during the season, to make the ump roster for the playoffs.
