So Farmer in typical Farmer fashion posted some advanced metrics like FIP and xFIP that convinced me that Raley isn't so bad.

I've flipped. He's not awful.

No chance if I were in charge. Put them in the pen and see who can outs. Our biggest opportunity to extend our window another 4years is to ride what will be a very cheap but hopefully extremely effective starting rotation of Framber, Urquidy, MclCullers and Luis. We'd be fools to break up that group with 3 being under team control.

Not awful. I agree.

Don't mistake him for a high leverage closer type.
He's pretty easily the worst setup man we've had since 100 loss years.

Would he have gotten any innings at all on the 100 win teams? Loogy maybe, when that existed. Certainly not the 60+ appearances he's likely gonna get this year.
