Exactly, that TB run last year had that "team of destiny" type of feel to it. Renfroe made some incredible catches in that series.

I wouldn't say he's a setup man. That's Stanek.

I'd say he's a middle reliever. He's not good enough for late tight games with the heart of the order up but for situations like tonight he's adequate.

Problem is right now we don't have that guy that's not really a setup man but is good enough when it's tight.

Saw Framber last week in SL and will be there to watch him pitch tomorrow.

Every pitcher you mentioned there was very good at some point. Some of the ones we traded for were never good for us, but there's a reason we traded for them.

Even Sipp had not just good but amazing seasons. Many of those guys fluctuated but all had high points where they were outstanding.

Framber was good from day one. He didn't have all the advanced metrics you love but he got the job done.

The main difference is none of those guys when they were sucking got to pitch 70 games for us.

Edit: to say Guduan and Sneed were garbage, but Raley has probably made more appearances this year than they did in their careers for us.

You moving the goalposts? You said any innings.

Sipp has his ups and downs, but his downs were pretty low. He had the same # of appearances as Harris in '17.

Framber 5.86 ERA and a 1.67 WHIP in 2019 before he broke out.

Was Raley not good last year? 0.750 WHIP. 21 K to 4 BB.

It would be nice to not need to throw Raley as much. It would be nice to use him in situations that suit him. I believe I've said that a few times on here discussing him. But the rest of the guys are worse.

Greinke is done as an Astro... If JV wants to come back you can't say no to that as long as the years and money is right for an almost 40 year old coming of TJ

We have LMJ, Valdez, Javier, Urquidy & Garcia all locked up for several years. 4/5 very cheaply. Odo will be back next year. That is a very solid 6 man rotation assuming the young guys continue to develop. This should mean we shouldn't be cheap when finding a new or keeping a short stop.

Also Mariners are going to blow this... Kemp has multiple RBI already since I've been watching. Just had a SAC fly to right field to make it 4-3

Yeah this will be greinke's last with us most likely. A really good 2.5 years. It's flown by.

No idea what will happen with JV. Sucks he basically misses 2 full seasons with us. We definitely took him for granted and his absence has been missed the most since the end of 2019. I'd love to sign him to a 2 year deal but I'm afraid his asking price will be too high.
