That was my thought, just a dumb decision on Yuli's part to go home. Now it cost us another run.

Thats on Yuli. It was a stupid decision anyway. Maldonado's only chance was an immediate sweep tag. Ohtani was already mid slide as the ball was arriving.

But we are losing

It simply was a lot of bad options with no good options available

I wondered in this first outing if we might see some being off for a year rust.

Granted, Iglesias hit a ball that was out of the zone, but hitting Ohtani, I think was a little rust.

I don't blame Yuli for going home.

He's pulled it to make a play at home. It was a do or die play that had to be executed perfectly and he didn't.

I'm not even sure he could've turned 2 on that play.
