Add roughly $12MM to the amount the Rangers are throwing away this season. Davis was owed $17MM so with a little more than 2 months in the books call it $12MM. Plus $24 MM on Odor. That's a lot of sunk money.

They already have Mitch Moreland.

Then get him in if we have a comfortable lead for 1 inning or if we're down a lot. I want some of these young guys to get some of these big atmospheres out of their system. Maybe in the long run it helps them settle in.

I've said it for a while now. Rules, written and unwritten, are stretched and broken all the time. If you want purity is sports, watch a kids t ball game because it degenerates after that. If mlb wants to totally clean up the sport, then put an official in each dugout to inspect bats, balls, gloves, electronics, etc. new pitcher comes in the game and he is inspected. Sounds draconian but this is about the only way to stop this stuff. I'm fine with it the way it is and just accept it. But if baseball is going to cry because teams other than the Yankees, Red Sox and dodgers are doing this stuff, then stop everyone.
