Bull**** blue. That's a strike on us all night.
Speaks more to the number of times we've been in the playoffs than anything else. I think there's a few players on the Braves that got 18 HRs on us this series alone.Bregxit said:AggiEE said:Harry Dunne said:
I'm ok with not keeping Correa.
He's a great player, but the guy who deserves as much as he's going to get paid is the guy that taps his watch and keeps it going the rest of the playoffs, not gets his moment and then disappears.
I'll take Swanson and spend the change on starting pitching.
He's never been THAT clutch in the playoffs outside of a few timely HRs. Nothing on the level of Altuve, for instance who does that and some.
He's just too easy to get "figured out" in a 7 game series, and he doesn't learn. Too many strikeouts and he swings at garbage, and more importantly CAN'T CONTACT garbage when it's thrown (unlike Altuve). Probably won't score the run home with a guy on third and less than two outs.
A few HRs? How about 18?

5 league championship series , 3 World Series appearances, and at least one World Championship over 5 yrs is quite a run in any universe. I say at least because this isn't over until it is.
Oh it's been a hell of a run and it's going to continue for the next couple/several years.
But it hurts to only have one title. We're pacing to be the 90s Braves.
I'd rather be the 90s Braves than the Rangers

At the end of the day, these guys don't care. They get paid their $500K league minimum and most much more than that.
The fans are who lose at the end of the day. Why we get emotionally invested is beyond me. It's too painful to experience this year after year
Bingo. Some clubhouses just have leaders that are extremely competitive and some don't.
Are you telling me that you would do more at your job or try harder when your pay is already at a guaranteed price? Yeah right, you guys are still pretending it's the old days and some guys just compete as some immortality. They don't give a rats ass but will tell you different as no one wants to sign someone to their company if they can't bring in more revenue which means wins. They do just enough as you do at your job and nothing more.
What's amazing, regardless of what you are saying, a team who lost Cole to free agency, JV to injury, ZG kind of falling off in the second half made it to the World Series. Throw in losing your clear #1 for the year in the ALDS.
Throw in being getting blasted in games 2 and 3 in the ALDS and then winning 3 in a row without Lance throwing a pitch.
How does this team do this if they aren't competitors, fighters, and have leaders?
This
Did that last out look like anyone gave a damn despite of any excuses of someone else being injured or not.
You Derek Jeter would have jogged there even with a certain players out?
Your loyalty is blinding your vision. And this is coming from someone who was basically raised the clubhouse at the Dome. Has nothing to do with my love for the Stros. Your eyes never lie to you my friend.

Don't get comfortable. You're gonna have to poop slap soon
would be more fitting if he broke his rib tapping the watch… But the injuries won't happen until the ink on the new contract is dry.BCEDAg said:
I predict that Correa will have his last at bat as an Astro in the ninth inning while trailing 10-0 and proceed to hit a home run and tap his watch toward the dugout. Would be fitting.

How good is our kicker? Can we rely on him to convert if we score?
