Disagree. Don't confuse the result with the pitch execution. Execution was fine; pitch call was not.


It was middle/middle to middle/in, it was a best not a good pitch

I never said it was a good pitch. It just wasn't a bad pitch. The hitter was clearly sitting sinker in or else he wouldn't have hit it so hard and far. Had Framber threw a change up, he would have been way out in front. Maldy is usually on it and makes sure the right pitch is called, which is why we rarely see moonshots off us.

Lol it was not down and in or a hanging slider. It was an inside sinker that he had thrown a bunch already and was sitting on it. Maldy called the wrong pitch.

Look where it was. Inner 3rd and slightly down. Right where lefties mash.

How many pitches of that at bat were sinkers? Dude was sitting sinker.

He could have thrown a changeup in that spot and it would also end up in the seats, just maybe not quite as far. It was a horrible pitch.

How come his other two inside sinkers in the same spot didn't up 460 feet away then?
