I think if Straw continues to put the ball in play and more on the ground, as he has been doing these past few games, I think we'll end up getting more out of him than what we currently are. As long as he's on base at least once a game for our 1-2-3 hitters, that'd be a very good thing.

Here is Straw's batting numbers based on where he's at in the batting order. If he's able to do what he's been doing in the 8 hole the rest of the year, there are far worse 8 hole hitters in the league. Obviously his defense is another issue all together though

I would bat Straw in the ninth spot when Castro catches. Put Castro at 8th spot in batting order.

one stat that shows how bad the 8 & 9 hitters have been...especially Machete....

Brantley in the #2 hole has only 4 RBI despite 10 doubles and 2 home runs.

only 9 of his 73 at-bats have been w/RISP
