For real, how you can look at that scorecard and think the ump had any effect on a 5 run game is beyond me.3B Paul 97 said:
Love the salty Braves fans on the comments. I guess they forget how the Braves would get an additional 4" off of the plate in the 90s.

Better yet, the people in the comments talking about how they need to go at the Florida State Seminoles for the same thing.htxag09 said:
Are they comparing doing the brave chop to support your own team to calling the opponent a gay slur to insult them?
This is what I don't get about the outrage of all this, they're called the Braves as a term of respect and reverence.
Yes they did, and it is incredible that no one died, had hypothermia, or heat exhaustion with a crisp autumn breeze wafting in at 65 degrees and clear Texas stars above. No first aid tents were needed and no one appeared to leave the game early.spadilly said:
I have to admit, the views of MMP with the roof open last night looked amazing on tv.

Anyone purchase the '21 world series hat? Does the World Series patch say 2021 on it? Looking at pictures it looks like the year is absent.

...what these dumbasses don't realize is that the ACTUAL Seminole tribe participates in game days and WELCOMES the recognition to their heritage and culture.
Loved that the roof was open last night and I wish the 'Stros would play more games with it open so I'm not complaining with this observation. Does anyone recall what the weather was like last fall? I haven't checked and my memory could very well be wrong but MMP and Globe Life Field were used for three neutral site series and do not recall the roof being open for any of those games.AggieLit said:Yes they did, and it is incredible that no one died, had hypothermia, or heat exhaustion with a crisp autumn breeze wafting in at 65 degrees and clear Texas stars above. To be honest, it was awesome, but it wasn't loud at all. At least up in the 400s. Louder than a regular season game but it wasn't necessarily rocking.
This. We found it odd the lack of people getting into it on 2 strikes & 2 outs etc up in the 300s. We were on the front row on the rail and got called at several times to sit down and 'down in front' … I wasn't up the whole time or anything but certainly was for big moments. Just blows my mind what some of those folks paid to be there and weren't into it. The lady next to me sat the entire game and snapped at me when I set my peanut bag on the cup holder because it blocked her sitting ass view.
I didn't get belligerent but one lady said 'when you're old and have trouble standing you'll understand' to which I offered to trade seats and I'd stand up there - she scoffed and rolled her eyes. Pissed me off.
That sounds absolutely miserable
Good morning to everyone but Atlanta, #ForTheA fans & anyone who thought this @astros lineup wasn’t gonna get hot. We also prefer heavy lumber to pearl necklaces here in Texas. Bregman just doesn't look right. He posted a story on IG last night about his swing being off. It's been a weird year for him between the injury and probably never being able to get his timing all the way back before the playoffs started.

The funny thing when people talk about how we should have the roof open more is no one considers what the players want.AggieLit said:Yes they did, and it is incredible that no one died, had hypothermia, or heat exhaustion with a crisp autumn breeze wafting in at 65 degrees and clear Texas stars above. When did they last say that?Quote:
hey all want to play with the roof closed for the consistency and they feel it's a home field advantage. They've said this forever. Why in the world would the teams own fans want to go against what their players would prefer and want the roof open so badly?

I don't recall anyone on this team caring either way.
