Schwab is reporting the Leon deal is all but announced. I know it has been rumored and reported that the signing is expected, but the Astros really need this to happen.

This is good news. What's his projected timeline for making it through the system to to Houston?

I wouldn't be surprised if he gets a shot at the big league club out of ST. He has had two years of Cuban ball, hitting .333 and .383. Compare that to Yuli. Yuli had several years of Cuban ball, hitting around .300. Yuli spent limited time in the minors because he wasn't part of ST, if I recall correctly.

Our OF may be Tucker, Leon and FA (hopefully Uncle Mike) next year.

I'd actually be ok with that.

I'd actually be ok with that.
Yuli was a pro since 17. He played in a Cuban league and then a higher-level Japanese league. He was a 15-year vet by the time he joined the Astros.

I would say Leon is a very different case. He's still young. I'd say stick him in High A and move him up to AA or AAA right if he hits the ground running.

Way too low. I can see AA but I'd throw him in Sugarland and roll personally. If it goes well through the first month then bring him up if the need is there.

But most importantly if he performs in Spring training I start him in the bigs

At which point? In spring training: send him to AAA
In the majors: see if he can adjust or send to AAA
In AAA: leave him there

Acquire Jackie Bradley Jr., and platoon him with Pedro Leon maybe? Bradley Jr. would face righties, while Leon would face lefties. At least that's how I would do it in MLB The Show lol.

Catcher: Lee
Not sure how the infield rotation/platoon would work but smarter people than me can figure that part out.

That's a potential WS Champion lineup there

I'm good with that. Sprinkling 2 or 3 veteran arms to pair with the young guys that showed out last season will be really nice. Takes pressure off the young guys so they can focus on their development.
