The White Sox pitcher that started today came out of the game with forearm soreness. If Chicago pulls this out they will likely be down a big arm from their rotation

Edit: nevermind it was a reliever that came out with forearm soreness.

That is really too bad. The kid is a rookie and just recently got to MLB. He also throws left-handed 100mph has. Id say it a real blow to the Sox bullpen.

Pitch goes pretty high out of the zone and Mazara fouls it off. Her response...

That pitch is way out of the zone. He has no business swinging at that pitch much less trying to make contact with it.

Of course after they talk about the Astros reduced stats and cheating through all our games, a bit in this game as well, they then proceed to talk about all the others who are struggling and make excuses for their lack of performance due to the shortened season.

15 pitchers between the two teams totally blowing out their pens and they have no consequences. I don't get this. They rush to finish and play with no travel and no days off during the series and then give all the free time between.

And that's why you don't just half swing "to make contact" there. Analytics proves this out. The double play is a killer there.

Half-swings take away Abreu's most potent threat - power. If you're not Tony Gwynn, you can't directionally hit like that.

Yea that's the guy who wrote Astroball. I feel like he'll give us a fair shake.

And doubt it's a "pile on" type of thing. Would be cool if it dug into where it originated (Beltran) and where be brought it from (Rangers/Yankees).

They just showed that the Cards are 68-1 in the postseason with a 4 run lead. That's a crazy stat, mainly they they have played 69 games with a 4 run lead.
