This offense frustrates me so much.

That was a bummer for Lance, but this offense has to be so much better. Letting opportunity after opportunity go by with a wimper each time.

And one of your best power hitters over the last 28 games is sitting their resting his 31 year old legs a week before the playoffs.

He actually was still fighting after the adversity...just made a bad pitch. This time it looked/felt a little different to me.

I thought back in the 2nd inning after he walked a guy that he was about to unravel, but he closed out that inning and cruised for 4 more

Yeah, it's a shame it was a hanging curve that did him in. Had to be fatigue in his highest pitch count of the year.

The defense let him down. He could have been out of that inning with just 1 K, but he got the next too and needed another. It was the most stretched out he's been since coming back from injury. 1 cement mixer and the game is changed. Why can we seem to take advantage of mistakes like that?

The tough thing about that HR is now you can't bring George in to PH to lead off against Gonzales.

Sucks all the way around. I just feel like George would have hit one really hard against Gonzales.

Straw's main attribute is his speed, yet his ABs give him no chance. In his 4 ABs tonight, 3 in the air and one K. Fix this and have him learn his role and value to this team or sit him.

Well, doesn't make sense to bring him in when you're down 4-0. Would have made a lot more sense if we were only down 1-0.

Now you gotta hope the bottom of the middle of the order can get on base to allow him to PH for one of the guys at the bottom.

Exactly. If we were down 1-0 it would have made sense to PH George. Down 4-0, doesn't make much sense.

The real conversation is why he wasn't in the game to begin with.

I still can't believe it when we actually need to beat this team head to head. It's such a flabbergasting decision to waste bullets against the team you actually need to beat to make the post season.
