the Rangers (18-34) were eliminated from the playoffs tonight.

before the season they were thought to be a contender for a wildcard spot. Made it to August 15th with a 10-9 record, but then the bottom fell out.

the Kluber-Lynn-Minor trio never materialized

Assuming we don't blow it, we're locked into the 6 seed. While it's close at the top for all the division winners, the As are in third. I would so much rather face them than the Rays or Sox. Bassit, luzardo, Fiers/Manaea is the least intimidating rotation there is. There offense is about on par with our underachieving one. They have a significant bullpen advantage, but it's less important in a 3 game series.

I think I prefer the A's as well of the division winners

Ok Crane. It's time to pony up. Do the right thing and do not let your key players and more importantly heart of the team walk away. You have a replacement on the team already for Reddick. His name is TED. You don't have one for your other two outfielders. If you blow this and especially if you let George walk in a season with no fans you will be thought of in the same way we though of that lousy carpetbagger John McMullen when he let Nolan walk. And you do not want to be thought of as John McMullen. Trust me.

It doesn't matter who we trot out there as they practically have to throw no hitters. We couldn't score more than 4 runs a game right now if we had balls set on tees at home plate.
