The way the rays have prevented runs on defense is much more unlikely to happen than us scoring three runs with the bottom of our lineup coming up. So there's that I guess

Ill never say never but sometimes you just have to accept that the other team is better. They were 40-20 in the regular season, we were 29-31. There's no shame in losing in the ALCS considering the train wreck of an injury-plagued regular season we had in addition to a new manager.
