He's the ace of our staff. We need more than quality starts from our ace. Also I was more referencing that his ERA has jumped from 1.84 to 3.77 over the course of 5 starts.

His previous 3 starts were ace material

3 runs in 6 innings isn't good. It's not that bad, but it still equates to an ERA of 4.50 .... which is good for maybe a 4 or 5 starter. Not an ace. I bet if you asked him he'd say he could pitch a lot better than that.

I'm just saying he's regressed from his dominant start to the season where he had a 1.84 ERA
