We've been quarantining since before Christmas after my son was born. Not on as much now that my dad is with us and bogarts my PS4 to watch Hulu all day.

Regarding my DD team, it's decent but not great. I don't spend money on stubs so I just try to get packs the old fashioned way, gain XP rewards and get FOTF cards.

My DD team has a rotation on Ohtani, Saberhagen, Nola, Paxton and Kluber. McCullers is on the bench -- if needed.

Lineup has Brian Roberts, Griffey, JD Martinez, Chipper, Goldy, Laureano, rookie Bidge, DeJong. I have Jean Segura and Castellanos on the team as well. All my starters are 79 and above. I was able to flip a Mantle rookie diamond card to build my lineup.

I bought the mid-tier game to get a beginners amount of stubs to play with. I enjoy that aspect of the game. Of course, it sucks when you are playing people who have lineups with all diamonds. The guy I played yesterday had an all diamond lineup including Roy O, Mays, McCovey, Altuve, Correa and Bidge.

I like RTTS. I've played it for years. I just recently got into DD. because the online play has gotten so much better.

I shift my DD lineup around a lot to complete challenges. I think right now off the top of my head by position:

Rotation:

99 Kluber
Oswalt
Glavine
Snell
Ohtani (solely for the bat...need the FOTF for the rotation)

LF Soto FOTF
CF Acuna
RF Soler (I have plenty of others that are better on paper but I rake with him)
3rd is a crapshoot but I think I'm rolling Suarez right now
SS Gleyber
2b Sandberg
1b FOTF Josh Hill
C Either the upgraded Sanchez or Mitch Garver

Bench: FOTF Gallo, Diamond Pudge, Granderson, Rookie Mantle, and Oneal Cruz prospect card...as I'm writing this I need to see if that dude can play 3rd.

I've completed 5 or 6 team collections and I just need diamonds for the rest of them. I think I'm sitting at 15k stubs or so. Going to buy a 20 pack bundle and I'm almost done with the full map conquest for the 10 pack bundle. See if I can get lucky.

Quick tip: SInce I own every silver live card already I've been making stubs in the marketplace by filtering out 77 OVR live series, putting buy orders in for the cheapest of the bunch to get 6 cards, and then exchanging them for a gold. Typically I can get the silvers for about 200-225 a piece. Most golds go for at least 1200 with some north of 2k if you get lucky. So I invest 1200 and after tax still profit about 600 on average once I flip the gold.

I've also seen people pimping the HR derby to build XP.

I grabbed Ohtani for the same reason. I'm really surprised with DD they don't have DH.

I'm not as far along in DD. I'm working on collecting packs, but not dumping extra money into it. The HR derby for XP, I hadn't thought of that.

Conquest and showdown. Showdown is a great way to build up an inventory quickly.

And yeah...HR derby you get 25 XP for every HR you it. Load up 8 mash players in offline arcade mode (Ortiz, Griffey, Bellinger, Thomas, Stargell, Jackson, etc), all on one controller, batter friendly park, directional hitting, hold up and power swing. You can get about 25 HR's per player per round so 8+4+2=14 attempts x 25 HR x 25xp per HR = 8750 XP in about 15 min give or take.

When you get cards you 'can't sell', you can exchange them. The same way you can exchange players for XP in the daily missions. Most of the time, you're better off selling them because their value on the market will outweigh their value in exchange...the exception (based on my own research and figuring...name checks out, etc) is with silver 77's. They're worth 3k a piece in exchange and you need 18k to get a gold. So if you filter those specific cards out, put buy orders in on the cheapest ones (normally right around 210 but at night you can get them for less than 200 sometimes), it only takes 6 to exchange for a gold. So I buy those and turn them into one gold. Every now and then you might get a Gallo...got Greinke yesterday and he was going for almost 3k.

Don't exchange commons for bronze or bronze for silver unless it's specifically a card that you can't sell. Bronze card values can be higher than silvers. Got to find value.

The exchange option is on the bottom right of one of the screens...same spot where you can exchange the BR vouchers for going 12-0 (which I have yet to do this year...effing good/okay HR's kill me).

MtO is another great way to add stubs, cards and XP.

Car96, the basic $60 one should be fine. The other levels are to get stubs to buy card packs to get players for Diamond Dynasty. Since we are playing with the live rosters, your DD team doesn't matter.

You can earn stubs through the game by playing certain events, etc. You can also buy stub packages through the PSN store. So, if you want to play add-on later, you can.

Diamond Dynasty (DD). It is basically a way you can build your own fantasy team of current and legend players. With stubs, you buy baseball card packs. The card packs have standard, bronze, silver, gold and diamond players and cards for ballparks and player perks. You use the players you get in card packs to build your team.

You can buy and sell player cards on Marketplace to upgrade your team in other ways. Also, play against other DD teams online. Right now, my team is rated an 81. I'm 1-7 playing online -- mostly because I keep committing errors in the games.

I'm an MLB.tv subscriber too, and I don't think there is a discount.

When is our league start date? And how many games are in the regular season?
