Fairbanks down. Bush up as soon as they clear a 40 man spot. Kid is over his head right now.

This loss will really hurt if we don't come back.

Every other team we are competing with is either winning or has already won.

The bottom of this line up is so bad. We really need Pence and IKF back and Santana in the line up everyday.

This. Drove up for the game tonight, that was a long game of not very good baseball by the Rangers.

Hopefully Bush is ready soon on his AAA rehab assignment. Our pen could use the help. His AAA numbers look good whenever I see them in the Lucas email updates.

The worst pitched game in franchise history, according to the radio guys this morning.

I'm glad I missed that turd.

The last 3 games have been weird. The 2 losses in tampa bay, it seemed like their pitchers couldn't miss the strike zone, and when their pitchers did, they barely missed it and got all of the calls anyway. Last night, our pitchers couldn't throw a strike to save their lives including all star mike minor.

Someone needs to remind this team that even tho the ASB is close, we're still trying to win games and there is still 5 of those left until then.

Woody mentioned yesterday that the game was just different yesterday, with the passing of Skaggs.

He felt both teams seemed distracted. Apparently the Rangers decided to not use stadium music because the "festiveness" it brought just didn't seem appropriate. I'm not sure if that included walk-up music.

Several Angel hitters to fouls off their legs. My wife was watching and thought they shouldn't be playing because of all the issues. I told her fouls like that are an every day part of the game, although there did seem to be more in this game, than usual.

Woody said it was one of the sloppiest, worst pitched game of the season, but that he wasn't going to hold any judgement considering the circumstances.

It doens't surprise, nor should it anyone else, that it was a mulligan game that had to be played to get back into the season.

I know for myself, situations like that are a reality check where you have to ask yourself if the game is really that important in the bigger scheme of things. Might take a few game for the Rangers, but will likely impact the Angels for the season. Once the series is over, the Rangers move on with a flight to Minnesota, and then the ASB.

The Angels move on to Houston, where the scab gets pulled off with a new team that reminds them of what happened. And on it will go as each team looks to offer condolences. It would be my expectation that they make it ok to the ASB (still in shock)... are flat on the return (reality), and then the wheels begin to come off (depression/distraction/awareness).

It did include no walk up music.

And I agree, it will be a LONG time before they can get over it. Every 5th day when it would have been his turn to pitch, for another example.

Santana is sitting again tonight.

I could have swore that Woody said just last week that he was going to try and work him in regularly.

Yes, we were there last night. No walkup music and most between inning entertainment was axed. They passed out the cards for the dot races, but didn't have a dot race.

The only thing I remember them doing is the kid steal a base race against the clock. And that was likely because (I believe) you have to pay to get your kid out there for that.

Yeah, just saw that. That really sucks, he seemed to be mlb ready again and he breaks down again. And our pen needs help, especially with Chavez in the rotation now.

Tonight is the 4th lefty in a row we're facing?

Let's see if Santana is back in for the next RHP we face. He should be.

You've been claiming for 2 years that the FO is making lineup decisions, specifically that Odor be in the lineup. This is with two different managers - Woody and Banny. It is time to put up or shut up. Who gave the order for a Code Odor?

I would like to see Santana in the lineup. He deserves time in the game. However, baseball isn't just showing up for today. If Woody has Santana out of the lineup, he has earned my trust that he might know a little more about the strategy that has gotten them where they are, than just a tactical plugging in one guy or another.

Santana could be getting some field time at a new position (3B?), or he could be sitting because he slept wrong on his neck, or is constipated.

Odor is 8-for-his last 23, .348.

I trust Woody and unless you have a name... or proof, there is no reason to imply Woody or the FO is playing politics.

I get that Odor is personal to you. I'm not sure why you refuse to own it and disclose what it is that he has done to you, but it is tiresome. Batting .348, and you seem to think Woody is ONLY playing him because of politics.

Halos can't catch a break.

La Stella fractured his tibia, off his own foul ball. Out 8 weeks. He was batting .300 with 16 HRs and a starter for the ASG.

There has to be some underlying reason for it. His quality of play on the field just hasn't matched up with the uncontested playing time we're actually giving him. He's been statistically the worst regular player in baseball since 2017 ( or very close to that). All he's done in this series is strike out with runners in scoring position and kill rallies.

Or... he is 1-for-4, 1 RBI

There are 3 total players on the Rangers who have an RBI this series. Odor. Deshields. Mazara.

The 3 guys you hate most on the Rangers.

Not trying to pile on or derail this thread. But Odor has been with club quite awhile. He's not a rookie anymore. His body of work doesn't really suggest he's a long term, franchise, type player. They were way to quick to give him his big contact, and it does seem that someone wants to keep him around- possibly because of his contract status. It's hard to give him the benefit of the doubt, for his last 23 at bats, when he has struggled mightily for so long. As for me, I'll blame JD.

You can cherry pick all the stats you want. Odor sucks period. I don't know why you insist on defending him. He's a HUGE hole in this lineup and his contract is likely the only reason he continues to get playing time.

Maybe he thinks odor looks good when he strikes out.

I'm thinking of that scene in the movie space jam where the minor league players tell Michael Jordan that he looks good when he K's and it's no big deal.

So, stating he is hitting .348 for his past 23 ABs is cherry-picking stats? Ummm... Ok. He is clearly on of the hottest Rangers player coming into this game. They just showed the RANGERS were 1 for 18 with runners on base. That isn't an Odor sucks... it is the Rangers are getting beat by the pitchers.

I'm not defending Odor, I want Grape to justify accusing Woody of playing politics with players. Maybe ... just Maybe... Woody knows a little more than Grape?!

What does bother me, regarding Grape and Odor... is that he actively roots against him. It is very personal, for him.

I want Santana to do well. I want Odor to do well. I want the Rangers to do well, and if rooting for their success is viewed as defending them, then, we likely have a different world-view when it comes to supporting a team. And that is ok, if you want to root against a player on your team. That doesn't mean I won't call it for what it is.
