A lot of dumb people on that thread. It's easy to push their buttons and manipulate their feeble minds.

They're probably breathing a sigh of relief after sweeping the mariners, but from what I've seen lately they don't look good at all. I think the Yankees, Twins, and dodgers would push their **** in right now.

Hunter Pence, the Texas Rangers outfielder who is the starting DH for the 2019 MLB All Star Game for the American League team, will be playing for the Frisco Roughriders tonight as he begins a rehab assignment. Pence was placed on the injured list on June 17, a move that resulted in Willie Calhoun being activated from the injured list to take his place.

The plan appears to be for Pence to play in at least a couple of games for Frisco, and it seems likely he will be activated either Thursday or Friday. The Rangers already have to make a roster move today to open up a 25 man roster spot for newly claimed lefthanded reliever Jesse Biddle, and with Pence returning later this week, the Rangers will likely have to look at sending down Calhoun, Delino DeShields or Ronald Guzman to make room for him, unless a position player ends up having to go on the injured list.

The 36 year old Pence, signed to a minor league deal this past offseason, is slashing .294/.353/.608 for the Rangers in 215 plate appearances.

He pitched in a game on 6/29 and it's been reported that he died here, today, on the road.

So yes, the I would agree with the top 3 posted above.

With undiagnosed congenital heart defect being the leader.

The Angels use a hotel in Southlake as the team hotel when they are in town? That seems like a long way from the ballpark.

I get why a MLB team wouldn't stay in Arlington. Southlake is a bit of an odd spot, nonetheless.

Just looked it up, its off 114 in Southlake about 24 minutes from the ballpark.

Angels still come back to Arlington one more time this season. There's no urgency to make the game up.

EDIT: When police say no foul play suspected, it usually means there's clear evidence at the scene of what happened, such as a coke spoon laying out. Suicide would be strange to pull off on the road.

This. The fact that it's on the road makes suicide and/or drugs pretty unlikely, IMO. Could be prescribed drugs but still would be shocked if it isn't some preexisting undiagnosed condition.
