CALLING IT. B9, 2 O... HR ODOR!

He ****ing sucks. Get him out of the lineup

Not like we have a ready replacement with an OPS of close to 1.000 who played 1B tonight.

Both teams might end up pissed at Assdribble's lousy AB if this ends up in a delay. What a couple of horrific swings that weren't even close to putting a ball in play

Why we didn't even attempt a squeeze with Cabrera there is beyond me. Speed at third and the defense is giving you the shift. Why not make Vlad JR make an athletic play and lay a bunt down the 3rd base side

Edit: meant Cabrera not Santana

They IBB'd Santana

I think Assdribble has attempted about 3 bunts in the past 5-6 years.

Just need a base hit... or move Choo to scoring position.

Come on, Odor.

Radar is interesting. This rain is a horizontal line floating right over i30/i20. A lot more just west tho

I'm glad Odor walked because he's not capable of getting a hit right now.

Walk was as good as a H, and he got the pitcher out there with a bunch of pitches. He took a long time between pitches, too.

The fans still there should get some sort of true fan ticket voucher. Got dumped on and it's taken 11 innings to see the home team get 4 hits

At the rate they are leaving now, it might take about 6 vouchers

We need a more productive hitter in the 2 hole.

The lineup has been stagnant the last few games.

It's become a little league game. Bad bunt execution. Worse bunt defense

I was hoping to make it out there... some cheap tickets and empty stands would have been great, even in the rain.

By the time I finally got "buy-in" it was just too late with traffic.

It's infuriating to me that they are leaving the Ballpark. And I don't live in the Metroplex and haven't been to a game in almost 11 years.

It is amazing to me how many Rangers fans are completely against the new ballpark. There is nothing wrong with the one we have now. When TBiA opened 25 years ago, it was time for a new ballpark. I still dont understand the reasons for a new one.

I'm interested to see what ticket prices are going to be. I try to get to a game a month but I'm not sure I'll be able to do that with higher ticket prices.

A lot of them probably feel like they're going to get priced out. It's always been relatively cheap to go to a ranger game. I'm not 100% sure what it's going to be, but I think we're going to a total seat capacity of about 35,000 from 49,000

40,300 will be the capacity

Whoever built the current ballpark outside is a total idiot tho. We definitely needed some kind of dome or retractable roof in this heat. That's the main reason that I'm glad we're getting a new ballpark.

Seat prices will range from $15 to $450 per ticket. Keep in mind that is full season ticket pricing, which averages about 32% less than individual ticket prices. We do dynamic pricing for individual tickets, so there are some instances where those prices are lower than season ticket prices, and they are also much higher than season ticket prices at times

I'm not so worried about the pricing. I just think it's a great, traditional ballpark and a shame to abandon it so quickly. And while day games in the summer are hot, the vast majority are at night and very pleasant. I've never had a heat issue with a night game. They did a very good job designing the park to circulate air, so once the sun is not directly overhead, it's not bad at all even on the hottest days

The day game heat issue is mostly swlf-inflicted. They want their getaway days and espn sunday night exclusives. F that and just play at night in July and August.

I used to like sections 5-7, but now that the Rangers put in so many Lefties, I actually prefer 45-47. The other thing is, Sec 5-7 used to be like $10-12 and now are well over $25.

How will the design compare to PetCo? I enjoyed PetCo, but the concourse was bizarre. Seemed more like an open market mall, with little walkways like a maze, then you'd get to areas of food stations and shopping like little huts... kinda like what the Rangers have added, except they looked like they were in fancy sheds from Home Depot. Very intimate, appealing to the Betas.

Or is it really going to be little more than a slightly modified MMP?

The conditions in June, July, and August night games still suck until about the 3rd inning. Then it's great. Still an inconvenience almost every game.

This season, we've been sitting down the third base foul line (Section 11 earlier this year and Section 15 tonight). Typically, I like to find a good deal on a seat with good sight lines. I've sat all over the park and have to say, I don't really have a favorite.

That said, I typically buy from the Rangers website and use the code that you provide. I've said it before and I say it again, I really appreciate the code. I can't say that enough.

I've thought of the mini season ticket plans but live over 2 hours away so I don't think it would be beneficial.

I don't know anything about Petco Park so I couldn't tell you. Also never been to Minute Maid.

GLF is 1.8 million square feet. It will be taller than GLP, and the playing surface will be 70 below street level, which is about 30-40 feet lower than GLP. The field is also rotated 90. Home plate is in the southwest corner instead of the right field corner. That means the sun will now set behind the 3rd base side I stress of the 1st base side.

The roof is one solid piece and will take 12-15 minutes to close. Still TBD on what temperature would actually force us to close it. I'm guessing high 80s/low 90s.

The lower seating is much smaller. There are 40 rows in the lower bowl, inside the foul poles, at GLP. There will only be 16 rows in GLF. Rows 1-8 and 9-16 will be separated by a walkway. Rows 9-16 are elevated 6-7 feet above rows of 1-8. Prices here range from $50 to $450

Next is the lower suites, which are now only 16 rows off the field.

Then you have your mezzanine level (100 level). This is the main concourse and is the level you enter the ballpark on. Prices here range from $40 to $85.

On top of the mezzanine level are the upper suites, also called the Classic Suites.

Then there's the pavilion (200 level). Prices here range from $30 to $45.

Lastly, the upper level (300). Prices here range from $15 to $20.

I forgot the outfield seats. Right field is $25, which is $1 less per ticket than at GLP. Left field is $35

There will be 6 premium club spaces in which all of your food & beverage and parking is included. Entry point for these areas is $150 per ticket.

Also, this stadium, and Texas Live and the hotel, are just the start of a $30Billion development project. Once the stadium is finished, all the cranes you see are just going to move next door and start working on commercial and residential real estate development.

I would respectfully disagree on the heat at night games.

My peak attendance was in the 2006-2008 time frame, where I'd go to 20+/- games/season.

I can tell you there were times when it was 95F at 9:30... 10pm... We'd sit out there and sweat just dripping off us. It was brutal.

That's the thing though... some years are brutally hot, some are mild. 10 years ago, and then maybe 6 years ago, we had overbearing heat. I fear we are building to the worst case weather, unnecessarily... for that 5-6 games every 5-6 years.

Aug 5: 2:08 FP, 93F
Aug 6: 7:08 FP, 98F
Aug 7: 7:07 FP, 98F
Aug 14: 7:07 FP, 90F
Aug 16: 7:07 FP, 97F
Aug 17: 7:08 FP, 98F

Versus: 2011
Aug 6: 7:09 FP, 105F
Aug 7: 7:23 FP, 106F
Aug 8: 7:08 FP, 102F
Aug 9: 7:08 FP, 102F

The brutal part is, one year, we had like 60 days over 100F, and the way the heat was sitting on the metroplex, it was especially hot late into the day. Mid-90s, cooling to mid-to-upper 80s is nice and enjoyable. 105, cooling to 97 by the end of the game, can be brutal.

Every 3-4... maybe 5 years we get a heat like that, but overall, August can be bearable. People just remember the brutal heat.

I'd be curious, and AccidentProne has probably posted it, but how many games would the roof have been closed last year?

Eh. I go play twilight golf in those temps a few times per week every summer,. Maybe I just conditioned to tolerate it, but as long as the sun is not direct and the air is moving, I'm good.

Odor moved down in the order to 6th tonight. That's a step in the right direction.
