Honestly, after reading Astroball and the chapter about Sig, I wouldn't be surprised if he left baseball altogether. Just seems like he's one of those guys wired for constant challenge and might feel like he's left his impact on this field time to move on to another.

Agree completely. I imagine a job like running the sports book for someone like MGM would be extremely interesting, and the kind of thing Sig would be attracted to.

Edit: I'm aware I just gave a job that may or may not be open to a complete stranger and decided for myself if he was interested... but this is the fantasy world I live in.

You either resign both Keuchel and Morton, or one of them and get a FA. You need a #3 type guy. A lefty if you don't sign Keuchel.

I like the idea of Yuli playing the Marwin role only if we get a legit plus hitting 1B.

Not sure what the 1B market is like but maybe via trade.
