also...Tyler White...a guy that was so critical in the second half of the season...was a ghost in the ALCS.

It doesn't feel real. This team is way too damn good to go out how we did. Postseason baseball is something else. Time to spend some money, bring up some new blood, and make another run. No reason we can't win win the division again and be a favorite to win it all.

Great season and good series, Stros fans. The breaks just didn't go your way this series. Look forward to seeing the teams take it up again next season.
This is a sad moment for me, I think this may be the last Astros season my dad gets to watch this side of the veil
Boston just flat out outplayed us. Yeah we shot ourselves in the foot but they pounced on EVERY miscue.
They were the better team. Maybe if we execute like we should it's a different outcome but we didn't and they're moving on.

It's not that hard to fathom. Correa is not healthy and was bad the second half. Really bad. Altuve is playing on one leg. Not sure what he does if we had made the WS. Morton had shoulder issues at the end of the season and after a long layoff, just wasn't sharp. Those are some big injuries. The bad start from Cole doomed us. We needed our pitching to carry us and it didn't.

I don't think we were turning on Bregman. He played well, but struggled in the leadoff spot. Some older folks (like myself) think there is a time and place for the trolling. Regular season, that's cool. But, in the postseason I think the **** talk can work or fuel extra fire in the competition. I think it stoked their fire this time.

I agree. I fully understand. But this teammover the last 162+ was better than the team that won it all. Sure the offense wasn't as good. It we have much improved starting and relief pitching while the offense was still very strong.
After this ride of a season, it felt like we couldn't be stopped.
Yeah...bittersweet for me too. Dad was a die-hard Rangers fan (he lived in the Waco/DFW area for a long time) but he was rooting for the Astros last October. He passed away last December and some of my best memories involved talking baseball with him, along with some friendly rivalry. Astros gotta get at least one more WS, one for me and one for him. Next year would be a great time for it. Miss you, dad.

You know, you really need to take a look in the mirror. Last year is last year. I'm glad they won last year, but this ALCS has been sub par in contrast. Umps doing stupid **** excluded. I get being passionate about the sport and team, but extricate your head from your hind parts and actually see what's going on before telling people to GTFO.

I don't agree with people who criticize those who have worked their entire lives to reach the pinnacle of awesomeness and try to tear them down and say they are tanking on purpose.
Every one of those guys have done something to get the Astros to 103 wins this year and to the ALCS. Most of those guys were instrumental in the most fun , incredible and emotional sporting season I have ever witnessed.
I will not sit down on this, I am embarrassed that denim is an Astros fan who gives up at the first sign of adversity and insinuates that home town heroes who have worked very hard are throwing the game.
It was a great season with a bitter after taste, but some of us believe in 27 outs and no time limit, which is a very important and distinctive part of baseball.
Don't read to much into in-game threads.
