The ones this series were so glaringly obvious, everyone on this thread called the play by play before they happened.

James was obviously gassed. The most conservative said to yank him, even the most confident said extremely short leash and a single base runner means to pull him. Boom. Left him in too long.

Bases loaded jam to get out of? Why not bring in my pitcher who practically doesn't throw fastballs and whose one glaring historical weakness is a tendency to bury balls in the dirt and walk people. I'm not even mentioning yanking CFM so early (who admittedly didn't have it tonight) after Maldonado is the real culprit.

Last night:
Starter is rolling after settling in and had recorded 6 straight outs, not even at 90 pitches. Pull him for literally the last player to make the ALCS roster in a tie game.

Close game, but we're down so he panics and brings his closer in to start the 8th inning to potentially pitch two full innings. When we're already behind.

Last year, Hinch had a much shorter leash. One walk and you were done for the night.

Just getting home from game. That one is still hard to swallow. 2 inches shorter on that last Bregman knock and that would easily have been one of the best games of any sport I have been to.

I guarantee if it was the other way around and Boston was batting, that would have been called a homerun 100 out of 100 times. When you are playing the Red Sox and Yankees you have to straight up beat them because you are not going to get the close calls. Regardless, the Stros had their chances to win and they s*** the bed. You can't give up 9 free bases and expect to win. Hopefully JV and Cole can get us to game 7 where anything can happen.

The fact that the fielders arm and glove was in the stands is a case closing deal per the written rule

You aren't a rules expert? I would have never known.

Other than Joe West, nobody I have seeen thought it was the right call. I am not talking about Astros fans I mean everyone else including many MLB players have said how terrible it was.


Also who actually are the idiots who do the review in NY. Saying it was inconclusive? They had a much better angle than Fat West. They should have made the call instead of dumping it on Fat West.

Like last year we find ourselves with our backs to the wall. We have our ace tonight, who has the only W of the series. We win tonight we have Cole Friday, and I feel good hell be nails. Game 7 will be an all hands on deck slugfest, so who knows. We're not done yet. Feel pretty good we get to a game 7.
