I just don't see how Jake hangs around after Reddick returns.

Kemp and Davis have done more than enough to stay and Jake just can't get it going.

That was some professional baseball there. Hitter gets a perfect push squeeze down, and 1st baseman has the awareness to immediately go to second for the out.

No. For two reasons. #1 Altuve is not playing second tonight. He is the DH tonight. #2 It would most likely be a double cut (depending on shifts) wherein both the SS and 2B (in this case Marwin) go out to outfield. If it wasn't a double cut then it is possible Marwin was covering second. But in any event, a first baseman generally doesn't cut a ball to deep left center. He is generally a trailer to the batter.

Marwin's has quite a terrible season so far. Last year was obviously a bit of an anomaly but I thought we'd surely see him hit around .265-.275

True, but he still may end up doing just that. 2/3 of season ahead of him and he is so versatile that he will get plenty of ABs.
