That ball was hit so hard im not sure kemp could have done much else other than take a direct line and try to cut that ball off by jumping in the air to catch it.

Not really. Horrible line by Kemp to get to the ball but nice relay into Correa and a effin rocket from him to the plate. The ball beat the runner. Probably could've been a tiddier tag by our catcher too.

You don't cut that ball. But JD was not in the screen view. We've got three AAA guys playing defense tonight (technically four with Jake). This kind of stuff is going to happen
Re: JD Davis, If you are talking about the RBI double to left center that got past Kemp, I don't think JD would be the cut off man on that and he was possibly a trailer depending on shifts.
Because there was a double cut (Altuve and Correa in the outfield), I'm guessing Davis went to second base to get behind the runner. Unless the RF came in, you'd have nobody at second to keep Bogarts close
Correct. He was likely a trailer (trailing the batter to second base). But Altuve wasn't out there. He is DH tonight. Marwin may have been out there on double cut.
