Verlander was exactly what this team needed after yesterday. Had the one HR, but overall a 6.2 IP, 1 R outing is fantastic.

That being said, hold onto your butts, a tired bullpen coming in for two innings.

Like the announcers said as well Gattis was coming hard into second so that probably played into Marwin attempting third.

I imagine if Marwin looked over his shoulder this is what he saw

Good point, and I couldn't see if Pettis was waving him on or not but it was a bang bang play and he might not have had much of a choice either way.

But I guess if Yankee fans can boo Verlander's great performance then far be it from me to say you can't ***** about Marwins baserunning.

Of course the Yankees playing Sanxhez and dumping McCann was instrumental to us winning the ALCS. Sanchez dropped every ball thrown his way and let some key runs score. He was the real MVP for us that series.

I don't care if giles retires the side on 3 pitches trotting him out there in another non save opportunity is moronic.

Devo breezed through the 8th yesterday and doing anything other than leaving him in during a blowout was micromanaging and then some. Today is the same scenario and devo should finish the game unless he gets into trouble
