The answer is Ken Giles, and that's a massive problem. You can't put an inept closer on the mound, period, time for a change.

Two playoff-bound heavyweights trading punches. We get 6 in 8th then they answer with 5. The Indians are very tough with 2 strikes. Similar to the playoff Royals from a few years ago. Veterans. There were one or two bad pitches in the ninth but not many. Their success rate on balls in play in the 9th (with no home runs) is 1-in-100 probability. Balls found grass. The leadoff double was hit well but there were some balls that just landed in the wrong spot. Rondon probably should have buried a slider to the pinch hitter with two strikes and Harris left a couple of curve balls up. The series at MMP with the Indians was very competitive and so was this one on the road. M It stings, but we will be fine in the end. Verlander going 8+ innings would be a great way to bounce back.

I'm not freaking out about the season. Yes, I'd say losing a 5 run lead in 9th sucks. I sure wouldn't concede a loss that Verlander is pitching in.

Was the same damn pitch he looked at for strike three before AJ got tossed. Yeah it was a ball but the ump called it once so you have to protect that part of the plate.
